From Seed to Bouquet: The Journey of Our Seasonal Blooms

skagit

Most people see the final result – a vibrant bouquet of zinnias, cosmos, and sunflowers arranged in a mason jar on their kitchen table. But behind every stem lies months of careful planning, nurturing, and a fair share of muddy boots. Our flower farming season begins in February when we're hunched over seed trays in the greenhouse, coaxing tiny seeds to life while snow still covers the fields outside. What follows is a fascinating dance between farmer and nature, where timing, weather, and a bit of luck determine whether we'll have abundant blooms for your summer celebrations.
